Hello!
You’re probably wondering why I chose Yet Even Now as the name of my blog. The chapter and verses before Joel 2:12 are a reflection of the challenges I face when I stray from God’s presence. The struggles of idleness, judgment, and shame can leave me feeling stripped and barren, lacking the Living Water. “Yet Even Now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart…” This verse serves as a reminder of God’s grace, compassion, and gentleness, even during my struggles to understand Him or seek Him. It’s like the sunrise breaking after a long, dark night!
I haven’t always been a Christian so learning how to walk the walk has been trialsome. I don’t usually feel like I fit into the general expectation of what a “Biblical Woman” looks or acts like. What exactly are we supposed to look like in today’s world and society? I know I can’t be the only Christian woman who feels this way and has questions. If you are one of those women, you’re in the right place!
So what is biblical womanhood and how does it impact my everyday life?
Perceiving life through the lens of Jesus Christ means that I navigate this life with the motivation of eternity and the freedom of grace. As a woman of Christ, I willingly submit to my husband, the kids and I seek Jesus daily, and I work to steward our blessings well. However, these things take A LOT of practice and I mess up A LOT!
Yet Even Now is a place where you can grab your favorite beverage, get comfy, and hang out with me as I share the stories of my life. I invite you to see where I have been and how far Jesus has brought me. Come as you are and share in my journey as I learn what kind of woman Jesus is shaping me to be. Also, you’re welcome to check out some of my favorite things such as crochet projects, recipes, foraging information, and things that made me laugh 🙂
Some important things I think you should know about me:
- I experience Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder (HSD) and nerve damage from complications of it. Both of these result in intense chronic pain. So that’s fun!
- I love to crochet!
- I am a survivor of domestic violence (past relationship).
- I prefer cold weather over hot weather.
- I experience ADHD
- I LOVE comfy clothes. Sweats and baggy t-shirts all day, every day:)
I pray you can glean something helpful from my material because I am here to be humble and show everyone that biblical womanhood looks different for every Christian woman. Let’s EMBRACE that! I look forward to hearing from you all 🙂
Thank you for joining me!
Best,
